Privacy Policy
Summary
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage in aggregate — what pages are viewed, from which countries, on what devices. Analytics are on by default; you can disable them with one click via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. We don't run ads, we don't track you individually, and we don't sell data. The only other channel through which we receive information from you is the email you choose to send to hola@legislat.ai.
1. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
1.1. What we measure
Aggregated site-usage metrics: pageviews, time on page, device (mobile / desktop), approximate country (derived from IP), referrer (which site you came from), browser language, scrolls and outbound-link clicks. We do not collect your name or email, and we do not identify you individually.
1.2. Cookies set
When analytics are active, Google Analytics 4 sets two cookies in your browser:
_ga— anonymous unique identifier. Expires in 2 years._ga_J32564M7CK— current session state. Expires in 2 years.
If you opt out, these cookies are cleared and stop being set.
1.3. How to opt out
Three valid ways:
- Click "Cookie preferences" in the footer → turn "Analytics" off → Save preferences.
- Install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (works on every GA4 site).
- Use your browser in private / "Do Not Track" mode — we respect that signal and skip measurement.
1.4. Default consent by region
For visitors from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics are off by default and only activate if you click "OK" on the banner — per GDPR, ePrivacy, and UK PECR. For the rest of the world (including Panama, Costa Rica, the United States, the rest of Latin America), analytics are on by default with an opt-out available any time.
1.5. External processor
Google LLC is the processor for analytics data under its Data Processing Terms. Data may be stored on Google's servers in the United States, Ireland, or other countries where Google operates.
2. What this site does NOT do
- We don't run ads or install marketing pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Twitter / X Pixel, TikTok, Reddit, etc.).
- We don't use advertising cookies or share data with ad networks.
- We don't do browser fingerprinting or cross-device tracking.
- We don't sell or trade your data with third parties.
- We have no HTML forms — contact CTAs open your email client with
mailto:hola@legislat.ai. - We don't personalize content based on your identity or prior behavior.
3. Other technical details
3.1. Infrastructure logs
The site is served from Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud Platform). As with any web server, Google automatically records each HTTP request — IP address, User-Agent, requested URL, response code, timestamp — in its own operational logs. Those logs are operated and retained by Google under its terms (cloud.google.com/terms), not by Legislat. We do not query them to identify you or do marketing.
3.2. Public structured data
So that search engines and agents understand the site, we embed JSON-LD metadata describing Legislat as an organization — name, address, languages, public contact email. That's public information about Legislat, not about you.
3.3. External resources
We load the Geist font family from fonts.googleapis.com (Google Fonts). Your browser makes that request directly to Google; Legislat does not see it. Google states that its font service sets no user-identifying cookies. If you block Google Fonts, the site degrades gracefully to your system font.
3.4. Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager as the container that loads GA4. GTM itself sets no cookies until an internal tag does; the only active tags today are the Consent Default tag and the Google Analytics 4 tag (section 1.2).
3.5. Voluntary email
If you write to hola@legislat.ai, your message lands in our Google Workspace inbox, subject to Google Workspace terms and our internal retention. We use your email to reply to you; we do not enroll you in automated mailing lists.
4. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has contacted us, please email info@legislat.ai.
5. Difference from the Legislat product
The Legislat product — the authenticated application at app3.legislat.ai and the Sentinel agent — collects broad telemetry during its Closed Alpha. That policy is independent and is accepted during product onboarding. If you only visit the public site, that policy does not apply to you.
6. Changes
If this Policy changes, we will update the version and date above. Material changes are announced here; continued use of the site implies acceptance.
